Camp Wiggle Warrior
Boulder Grassroots Yoga is hosting a summer camp!
Give your kids the gift of sunshine, creative movement and adventure while they play and grow with others.
Give your kids the gift of sunshine, creative movement and adventure while they play and grow with others.
Your kids will learn basic slacklining skills, enhanced by a daily themed yoga practice. Kiddos will get plenty of exercise as we run around and play games, tell stories and learn the importance of breath, balance and curiosity.
At Camp Wiggle Warrior we encourage kids to face challenges and to get back up after every fall, and most importantly to keep a smile on their faces, because in the end it's just play!

Meet the Directors!
Anna lea Littleton is the founder of Boulder Grassroots Yoga and Camp Wiggle Warrior. She’s been working with children teaching different forms of creative movement and outdoor activities for over 10 years and is a certified Yoga instructor. Her playful spirit and patience invites children to get out of their comfort zone and try new things, with a focus on play. She’s passionate about sharing her love of slackining not just because it’s fun but like yoga it invites a deeper connection to self and the world around us. Anna Lea found slacklining two years ago and can’t imagine her life without it. She is a skilled slackliner and athlete having established the first line she ever sent (walked without falling) It’s named Princess Pokey Pants and can be found in Boulder Canyon. She has slacklined and highlined all over the country and looks forward to all the new places it will take her. When Anna Lea is not practicing balancing on new things she can be found taking her pup Japhy on adventures or wearing silly costumes with her friends. Alex discovered slacklining 15 years ago in Boise, ID. Some of his climber friends
showed him the basics and soon he was hooked. Once he’d mastered the simple yet the seemingly impossible challenge of standing on the line Alex aspired to push things continually further. He likes to say, “it never got easier, just more amazing”. Alex is a skilled teacher in addition to being a passionate slackliner. By the time he was 16 he was working as a climbing instructor and route setter in a popular gym, which led to outdoor guiding employment in ID and OR. His joy for working with complicated anchor and rope systems is also utilized in his rope-access work. Alex is certified as a Level I rope-access technician, trained to rig workers on vertical terrain and perform high-angle rescue in the commercial and governmental arenas. A gifted athlete, he has made a name for himself outside of climbing as well. He won the Super G at the US Western Region Championships, and was a high-level collegiate ski racer. Alex is also the current authority on the “Monkey Swing” at Smith Rock, an adrenaline filled 300 foot rope swing he helped pioneer and perfect; he is one of only two people trusted by the Smith Rock community to set up and monitor this activity. He is not all serious though; he also enjoys mixing music, sewing, and has one of the best 80’s-retro lycra collections around! Having slacklined and instructed extensively in the US and abroad, we are very happy that Alex now calls Boulder home. |
